Individual and Group Therapy for Adults

Elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Existential Humanist Counseling Theory are combined to offer an opportunity for transformation, personal growth and improved well-being. Through the integration of these therapeutic modalities, clients can gain increased self-awareness and develop effective coping skills to manage emotions, regulate behavior, and navigate life's challenges.

DBT equips individuals with practical tools for emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness, while mindfulness practices foster present-moment awareness and acceptance. The existential humanistic perspective encourages clients to explore their unique values, meaning, and purpose in life, promoting personal growth and empowering individuals to make positive life changes. This holistic therapeutic approach facilitates a deeper understanding of oneself, cultivates resilience, and empowers individuals to lead more fulfilling and authentic lives.

Group therapy offers a wealth of benefits through the power of interpersonal support, coaching, and the exploration of diverse topics. As renowned psychiatrist Irvin Yalom stated, "In the here and now of the group, we can make contact, connect, and give and receive authentic feedback. It is the immediacy of this feedback that allows for genuine personal growth and transformation." Group members may gain valuable insights, perspective, and encouragement, while learning new skills and fostering positive change.

Individual therapy is currently offered both in person and telehealth via a secure video platform.  Please sign up for my email mailing list to receive notification of new groups.
